Cancelling a dining reservation!

I made 2 dinner reservations for when we are going to be in the Orlando area. Can I cancel one/both if we decide not to go, on the app? I know disney's customer service stinks right now and I am worried if I want to cancel, I won't be able to. I am not going to wait on the phone for hours while I am on vacation. Thanks for any advice!

The day before, without a doubt.
Day of, it's iffy.
In the past I was always able to move it to a later date, then cancel.
Recently though, with limited availability, I've found it harder to move them to another date.
But if you are there on site, you can always speak to someone in person

We were just at Saratoga- we cancelled Planet Hollywood within 24 hours-the app said to call since it was within it was the 24 hour period. I did do the text stating we couldn't go due to our son being ill. Long story short we were charged the cancellation fee. We went to the front desk at saratoga, he gave us a room credit for the amount. He said if you need to cancel to go to the front desk, usually the front desk people won't charge the cancellation fee compared to the restaurants themselves.

I just cancelled one for our April trip using the app.
As others have said, I would cancel 24 hours before.
I have had success with the front desk cancelling. In years past when calling Disney wasn't a multi-hour wait, that had worked as well.
