cancelling 1 passenger on SW HELP!

I just found out that my DH will not be able to go home with us next weekend. I booked all the fares together so we only have 1 confirmation #.

Can I just cancel his ticket without penalty?

Has anyone done this without affecting the rest of the party?

We are flying MCO-PHL and I only paid $469.20 for all 4 of us

I had to do this same thing a few years ago, the night before we were to fly. I called Southwest's 800#. They took the one name off the confirmation and we got the price of his ticket as ticketless travel funds. It was very easy to do.

this also happened to us a year ago. Call southwest, they will split your reservations, give you one and your husband another one. Then you can go back to the website and change his reservations with the new number. good luck.

yay! I did it! Thanks so much for the info! I always fly Southwest but have never had to cancel just 1 of us before.


and Safetymom.....NO SNOW! it's just a quick weekend trip, I'll be back to FL on Monday (but I'm going home again in May!)
