Cancelled the Magic... Bring on AKL!

Hi All-

I am so excited I could burst!!! I just received confirmation from my fabulous TA, Josephine, that our Western Caribbean on the Magic next year has been cancelled (at our request), and we have booked the AKL for 12 incredible nights! I can't stand it! I have to wait almost 13 months... but it will be worth it!

Just had to share! Now I just have to find the countdown timer and I'll be all set...

Samsma... we decided to do this because we loved our stay at the AKL SOOOOOOOOOOO much! The trip next year will also be our daughter's first, and we wanted to be able to go at a very relaxed pace. Originally we were planning on the 7 day cruise and then 3 nights at WDW. Being that Dierdre will turn 3 on our vacation, we wanted to be able to break for naps and swimming and such. There was really no way to do that with only 3 park days unless we skipped over lots of stuff. We'll end up on the cruise one day, just not next year.
My DH and I cruised for our honeymoon and I'd been on several before that, and we do enjoy it. I'm sure that the cruise is fabulous, but it just ended up not fitting our plans for next year. A bonus to doing this is that we are surprising my mom for her birthday with a trip to WDW so that she can send a few days with her granddaughter on her first WDW trip. There is no way that we could have afforded to bring her on the cruise with us, but 4 nights at the AKL and airfare isn't too bad!

Anyway... that's my reasoning (if you can follow it, you'll be one of the first!)

We loved AKL! My mom is staying there in Jan. There have been incredible discounts available. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Thanks for the kind words for me. I know how much you loved the AKL. We are also thinking of staying there on our next trip.
