We have only sailed Disney. 6 different itineraries abroad and here, but we’re taking our first RCI cruise in a few months. We paid $3500-5000 for 5-7 cruisers on 7 and 10 night cruises with Disney. Now, we would be looking at $5000-12,000 on Disney for those same itineraries.
We priced the same itinerary (port Galveston) and Wonder would cost us $6500, while we worked our RCI cruise down to $3200 with better rooms and deck levels. So spending $500 to go to Chichen Itsa doesn’t hurt so much. Disney just isn’t worth that much after you’ve sailed most their itineraries in the Caribbean/Pacific/Mediterranean. We love the ships, but we want to experience new ports and have excursion money to really have a great port experience, too.
