Cancellations

Hi everyone and happy new year!!!

I have a query; does anyone know if you can cancel bookings made through the official website, or change the date? Is it possible at all or is there a fee? I'm planning to go sometime in June butan not yet sure what dates my exams will be, but some really good deals are coming up that I don't want to miss! What does everyone think?

Having never done this I really don't know I'm guessing if it's just adding an extra day or two you could probably just amend your existing booking but if it's completely new dates I'd guess you'd need to cancel and rebook in which case you'll be bound to lose your deposit. You'd need to read the T&C to check. Also, remember any bookings through the website have to be paid in full so you'd be waiting on them for a refund.

However, why not book an offsite hotel on a rate that you can cancel without penalty? We've done this for the last two trips. The first year we booked the Explorers, then last year we booked the Kyriad - both were extremely good rates so we'd have been happy to pay them to stay there if Disney didn't come up with any good offers but as they did we were able to cancel without incurring any losses.

you can cancel a booking, but you lose 15% of the total booking cost plus your booking fee of £16 if you cancel (more if you get to less than 60 days before travel before cancelling).

you should be able to move a booking to other dates without penalty, but again that might depend on how close to you arrival date you are. You need to check the T&Cs for these specific issues really.
