I am trying to potentially book 2 vacations and will need standard view points to make it all work out at BWV ( my home resort ). Assuming I call day by day for the reservations- I'll be looking for a 2BR late June 08 and 2, 2BR and a studio for late Dec 08 - if I book the June trip and then cannot get the standard view for the December trip, I will not have enough points. If I then cancel the June trip- will those points be made available immediately ( the big December trip is the most important and preferred over the June trip ) and could I move forward with the booking over the phone with MS as I'm calling day by day for the December trip?

Once you cancel a trip (or even days of a trip), those points are available immediately to book elsewhere. So yes, you could cancel part or all of your June trip to free up points as you reserve your December trip, assuming they are all in the same UY and not restricted in any other way.

Granny is correct. We just move a reservation to a latter date due to work reasons. As I was talking to the Adviser at MS, I could see the additional points on line. When we placed the new reservation for the latter date, it took a few minutes but the new reservation and points transaction soon appeared.
