Cancellation

Just a quick question, and I know these tyoes of questions have been asked before, but I am at work and have limited time, so I thank you in advance.

We have a March use year. If I book a 2 week trip for August/September 2016 using my 2016 points and borrowing my 2017 points and then have to cancel, when would my points need to be used by? If I need to cancel it will be before June 30th, so it is over 31 days.

If you cancel you will need to use the points by February 28, 2017. You could bank points (within the banking timeline) that were originally in your 2016 UY and extend their use until end of February 2018. But the borrowed points (from 2017 UY) will have to be used by end of February 2017. They cannot be banked.

As Granny said, you can bank your 2016 points, but the borrowed points will need to be used by Feb 28, 2017.

eta. You would need to bank the 2016 points before the end of Oct.
