Posted a few days ago about postponing a trip because my mother was hospitalized and it looks like we need to cancel out right. We are less than 5 days out without insurance so I know I have to pay $200. Question is, is there a deadline for when you can cancel up to? I.e. can I cancel the day prior and still just pay the $200?

Sorry about your mom. Have you considered calling Disney and rebooking for a future date? Maybe Disney would do that without penalty. Just a thought.:)

When I spoke to a lady in reservations last week, she explained that there is a new policy. She recommended rescheduling over cancellation. She said you can keep pushing it back and keep pushing it back until you are able to go. That way, you won't lose your money. I think you have until 48 hours before scheduled check in to reschedule with just a $50 fee, and that's only if you decrease the cost of your package.

Call and see what your options are, but never cancel come rely. Disney will work with you!

Sorry about your mom. I hope she feels better soon. Good luck!

New policy: cancelations 1 day prior to arrival or less are 100% non refundable. Definitely call and reschedule.
