Cancellation policy with room/ticket packages

I am planning a trip later this year to a Disney hotel. If I book a room only, it looks like I can get a full refund if I cancel by 5 days prior to my arrival. It also looks like if I add a ticket package (MYW) the cancellation time becomes 40 or so days. (I am getting this from the Disney web site).

If I book the trip through a travel agent, do these same times apply? Are there advantages or disadvantages to booking through a travel agent?

It all comes down to what you like to do. Do you want to spend a lot of your time researching resorts, discounts, etc. or do you want a travel agent to arrange it all for you?

Dreams Unlimited gets very high marks from people on the DIS. They will keep an eye on any discounted rates from WDW.
