cancellation fee for dining plan?

I am thinking of adding the dining plan to our ressie for this comimg December vacation(dec 26th-jan2). If i add it now and then want to cancel it is there a fee? I know that I can't pay for it until we arrive but not sure if there is a cancellation fee if we change our minds prior to arrival. T hanks everyone

If you want to add the DP, you will be adding it to a package (room, dining, and tickets). The cutoff for changing/cancelling without a $$ penalty is 45 days, I think. Also, since the room, DP, and tickets are a package, you must have the total amt paid by 45 days before your trip. So, if you don't know if you want the Dining, and you won't be able to pay for it until you get there, I suggest holding off on adding it. I think the latest you can add the DP would be 48 hrs before you arrive (and you must pay for it at that time, not when you check in). Have a great trip- hope this info helps you decide!

We are DVC members so we don't pay for the dining plan until we arrive but you have to reserve it ahead.

I thought the cut off point was 5 days before arrival. We are in the Uk and the cut off is 10 days! You cant add the plan after this time.

When we went the brochure said you could add it on when you got to the hotel, is this not the case anymore?

They told me today that you have to add it on before you arrive in Disney but that you don't pay for it until you arrive at your hotel( I am a dvc member)

I did get a letter from DVC that said you would pay for it when you checked in, but you could not add it to your reservation at checkin. It had to be already on the reservation.
