Canceling WDW Package?

I just wanted to confirm that when booking a package through the website, that I could cancel the reservation without penalty up until 31 days in advance?

Hoping that we won't have to cancel, but as we all know unexpected things can happen.

I asked a CM at Disney before booking my package and was told I could cancel penalty free prior to 30 days before the trip. At 30 days, the package must be paid in full.

Just adding that insurance and flights are non refundable.

Depends on the flight you book whether it is refundable. Also, if you have Southwest as an option, you can always cancel and have the payment used toward a future flight--not a refund, but you don't lose your money either. Being from a military family where plans get changed beyond your control I look for options whenever I plan a vacation!

Well, with SW you have to use the credit within a year from *booking*. So if you book ages out from your trip, then cancel, and can't use that credit inside that timeframe... I'm not sure if they still allow the credit to be extended, but if so it's at a cost.
