Hello! We are staying onsite in July and will book our FPP at 60 days. There is a chance that we will end up staying offsite but won’t know until Three weeks before we leave for our trip. Will my FPP’s be canceled if I cancel my room reservation? Should I just wait and book my FPP at 30 days instead just in case?

This same thing happened to me on my last trip because I ended up finding a better deal on Orbitz for the room. As long as you have tickets on your MDE account, your FP will not be cancelled. I ended up having to cancel my whole reservation since I booked a hotel and ticket package and buy new tickets separately as they couldn't just cancel the room portion so be weary of that (I can't tell if you booked it all together or separately). I think it was something like a 24 hour grace period between cancelling and adding new tickets before you loose your FP but I could be wrong on that. I bought the tickets first and then cancelled the reservation to be safe.

Also I will mention that if you booked a package, and not just a room only reservation, cancelling 3 weeks prior will subject you to a $200 cancellation fee.

Thank you for the information. We are booking our tickets separately as we got a good deal with AAA so they will remain linked if we end up having to cancel the room. Hopefully we can keep the Disney room. Nothing like staying in the “bubble”.

That is perfect then! You will have NO issues with FP being cancelled if the tickets are separate, and you have much more freedom with cancelling your room without the penalty since it's a room only reservation. I also hope you can keep your disney room :)
