I'm having to cancel 2 flights for 5 weeks time from MAN-Orlando Int.

For the life of me i can't find anything on my e-tickets telling me what the procedure

Somone tell me i'm not going to lose all my £1,700 :confused3

Discovery Cove have already given me a full refund and i'm glad i'd not yet bought my Disney tickets

I'll never get to Disney again :sad1:

Unfortunately it depends on the type of ticket you have bought.
What is the booking code? will be something like "T Economy"

Will your travel insurance not cover you for your costs in cancelling? If you bought a non flexible ticket, and the price oyu paid seems like it, they (VA) are under no obligation to refund any money.

Claire ;)

Can't see anything on the ticket

Good news is i upgraded my TSB account to the big one only last week with the top insurance cover

I'll look into it tomorrow

Sorry to hear that. :sad1:

From the VA site if you go through a normal booking, at the price part it states

Outbound

Minimum stay is Saturday night
No advance purchase conditions apply
Changes and refunds are not permitted at any time.

Inbound

Minimum stay is Saturday night
No advance purchase conditions apply
Changes and refunds are not permitted at any time

Please note. If the fare conditions differ for your outbound and inbound flights, the most restrictive condition applies.
.

Your ticket might be different, it should state all the T&Cs in the confirmation email.

Does your insurance not cover you.

Best of luck

Virgin recently refunded us the entire cost of 2 UC tickets - just under £7,000 - to Sydney and home from Singapore because DH needed spinal surgery and is in fact in hospital right now. The outward flight was D class, the inward one was Z class. All we had to do was produce a Consultant's letter and it took about 2 weeks.

I was most impressed with their helpfulness.

I think if you booked a non felixible ticket with VA all you will get is the taxes back.

If its an eticket you recieved by email it will say "class" then the code is under that.
I once bought flights from Expedia which were non refundable, Mum passed away, we were all still travelling but wanted refund for her ticket, Expedia said not a chance, all tickets non refundable under any circumstances. I emailed US Airways who were brilliant, they told Expedia to refund me even though they had no need to. So all depends on why you can't go and booking code you are booked under

Your airline tickets will be valid for 12 months from the time you bought them. so that maybe the way to go if you cant get a full refund for them and can go at another time.

All depends on the type of ticket you bought, flexible tickets are refundable but cost an awful lot more than a ticket with restrictions. An economy flexible ticket is normally not a lot less money than a upper class or buisness ticket with restrictions on most airlines.
