Sorry folks but this trip has been postponed until 2015 because I'm going to be an auntie!
:lovestruc

Thought I'd share the good news with my DIS family :grouphug:

 Hi! Subbing in!

If you try to keep your PTR going, I'll try to keep reading for another 466 days!

I will keep it up, hopefully updating at LEAST once a week when the planning is really slow...like now.

I see you have a trip coming up as well, will you be doing a PTR for that?

I look forward to reading!

Yes, I do! I think my sister wants in on the TR writing this time so with her help I'll start the TR right after we register for the Princess Half next week!

Wow, I guess you gotta be DIS-famous for people to read your PTRs. But I think the whole 'September 2014' puts people off. I mean, how much planning can I do at the moment? Not much.

But that's okay because I can do other things: like share Disney photos or park pictures I find on the internet. They don't help the time go by faster as much as they make me want to leave RIGHT NOW. :p

HERE WE GO! popcorn::

Let me just tell you: I LOVE KILIMANJARO SAFARIS.
This was the attraction I would race to when I arrived for park opening. I just LOVE it.

I remember seeing Cinderella's castle for the first time in 2006. I had planned our first WDW family vacation down to a T! When we finally arrived I had to hold back tears of happiness. It was just so magical for me. I had always wanted to go to WDW and I was finally there at 17 years old.

Alright, so something that requires just as much planning as the whole trip itself: THE FOOD!

My ADR date is 3/12/14.

I have to plan out 5 days of eating, the snack and quick service are no problem but I spent A LOT of time finding the right TS for my trip.

I know for sure I want to take my sister and BIL to Ohana. The Poly is SO nice and I really enjoyed the food. It was a great way to start off my trip so I'm hoping to get an ADR for our first night.

Our first night plan is to get settled, check out the resort, go to DTD and just get into the Disney magic. We are only using 4 day park hoppers - Armed Forces Salute (AFS) so we want the most out of our days.

Eating is practically half of the vacation! The Disney food is so good its an experience not to be missed. It always bums me out when people think TS takes too much time and opt for all QS.

I'm dying to try Ohana- everyone always raves about it!

It really was by good luck that I got my ADR for Ohana last Sept. I called at the 180 day mark at 5am (PST) and I STILL couldn't get a dinner ressie. I talked to my Disney friends and they said to call back at least once a week and I did and I grabbed one for 6:30p. The food is delicious and it's all-you-can-eat. Oh and the dessert, bread pudding, OMG :bitelip:

If you can go, GO! It's one ADR I will be persistent about for our trip next year.

I also like Le Cellier. Some people say it's overrated but I really, really enjoyed it. And the pretzel bread was my favorite!

There is so much to take into consideration! I love it! :joker:

Seeing as our first day will be spent checking-in and exploring, can you give me some ideas of what to check out (out of the park)?

Thank you!

I vote monorail resorts! It's a lot of fun to get off at each resort, take a walk around, see the pools, etc. You can pose for lots of fancy/fun pictures (especially in GF and Poly which I think is fun!)

Remember- no dancing on the monorail, though! :rotfl:

That sounds it like a lot of fun. :thumbsup2 I really enjoyed taking the ferry from the MK to the Poly for Ohana, it was great weather and very relaxing. :cutie:

We started off with a set time period: early September, after Labor Day because I went during that time last year and it was perfect! As you can tell by some of my photos, the place was pretty empty.

Sure I was at rope drop most of the time, but some of these were taken 3-4 hours after opening. It really was perfect for me. I would get up early, be at rope drop and go until about 12 or 1 and then head back to my hotel (unless I had a lunch ADR) and rested, napped and showered to be back out by 5 or 6pm. Loved it!

I hope we can do the same this time around.

But things out of our control may change our plans so we have back up dates.

#1 choice for dates - Second week of September because of low crowds, prices and weather was not bad at all last year (but that's up in the air every year)

#2 choice for dates - First week of May. Prices are a teeny bit higher but the Easter crowds are mostly gone, the weather shouldn't be horrible (Can I be honest: I have NO clue ) so it seems like the next best time to go....and it's SOONER! It will only happen if another thing precedes it...I know, vague but :confused3 that's the way it is.

I guess we'll know soon, hopefully.

Alright, so barring any other unforeseen things happening in the future we will be going September 8 - 13th, 2014 :thumbsup2
