canceled CR tower- got AKL pool view

I had to cancel my CR tower room for December, I just couldn't get a good deal--no codes or AP sales would apply!! I did get AKL pool view at a good rate (or a rate I could afford), but I'm very disappointed! I hope my family will like the AKL! Please make me feel better!!!!

Hard to decide, CR is so close to the MK, but AKL is awesome!

Just moved our reservations from POFQ to AKL. We have walked around the lodge on our last trip. It seemed very dark. I hope we like it. The rate was to good to pass up.

I absolutely love the AKL. I have stayed at the Contempory a few times, and while I like the convience of the monorail, being able to wake up and just watch the animals more than makes up for it.

We initially had the deluxe sav. for $250 a night for mid November. Then called back and got deluxe pool for $195. Then finally got standard sav. view for $151 all with AP rates/code. It took a while of calling over about 2 weeks since the rates came out but we finally got the lower rate that we could afford. We have never been to AKL but really wanted to try it as we stayed at the WL for the first time last January and I have two little boys who love animals. I was not really impressed with the CL other than the close proximity to MK. We drive almost everywhere with our own vehicle so transportation is not an issue for us. I have heard it is dark but so was the WL. Even so it was a very cool lodge and expect AKL to be the same as they were built by the same person. Enjoy your trip!
