We do have a resort reservation for 9/30-10/4, but not really where we'd like to stay. How likely of a chance that there will be cancelations for this time period with the 50th starting then? I have been checking several times a day. Are there a certain number of days prior that people normally cancel if they're going to? ( I'm not looking for a discount, just rack rate.)Thanks!

9/30 to 10/4 is probably going to be the most popular time to go this year. I've been looking for months to change my reservations around a little and there is nothing but AoA or BWI when I look. It might open up if they increase resort capacity. Good luck.

Yeah, I'm hoping! Good luck to you too

I would just keep checking. I lucked out with a CR reservation over the 10/1 weekend a few weeks ago - I couldn't believe it when it popped up. In terms of cancellations, packages have to be cancelled at least 30 days prior and room-only reservations have to be cancelled at least 5 days prior to check-in to avoid fees, so I would check around those times as well.
