Cancel or go?

CANCEL!

You do not want to be exposing your two month old to those germs.
You do not know if you are going to have a colic baby (our first was).
You do not know how feelings will be going.
Only some babies are sleeping 5-6 hours at night, the rest are up once if not twice.
Most doctors don't recommend any exercising until 6 weeks post partum so you might just be entering that window.

I think it is a bad idea. Wait a year or two.

I would not bring an infant that didn't have a few rounds of vaccinations first. DPT vaccination is very important and you would not want your baby catching pertussis (whopping cough). Pertussis rates are increasing and I personally would not feel comfortable bringing an unvaccinated baby around that many people. Congrats on your pregnancy. Also, your 3 year old will probably be easier to deal with at WDW when he is 4 years old.

Go, go, go!

I am not one to let opportunites pass by waiting for the right time. My husband and I took our 4 month old, 3 year old, and 5 year old several years ago. He still agrees that it was one of our best trips to Disney! Life is definitely more challenging with a baby at home... just more fun in Disney! I would'nt want to disappoint the older ones, especially since the baby will already require so much more attention. If you're the kind of person that faces challenges with optimism, you'll have a ball like we did!

Good luck!

We took our youngest when he was 14 weeks and it was the easiest of any age I've taken my kids. It was in November 2010 and the weather was perfect...not too hot, etc. I way go for it!

We had scheduled our trip for October and 36 hours later...surprise! Baby #3 was on the way. We pushed it back to the middle of Nov (my middle child turned 3 on the trip). I don't regret still going with a small infant for one second!

I have a trip scheduled for WDW the 2nd week of Dec. Well now we found out I am pregnant (long story, Dr told me I was not negative test....until ultrasound) and due early Oct. Not sure if I should bring a infant that young. I was looking forward to trip with my youngest since he will be 3 and loves Christmas. My older child was also looking forward to it too, however she goes for the rides. I just cancelled a cruise we had schedule for the prior week to WDW in Dec, since infants have to be over 10 weeks or at (not a problem). My MIL was also going to come with us too. Has anyone traveled this time of year with a infant, would you cancel and reschedule for next May or Sept 2013?

We've had babies that were 2 1/2 and 3 months on 2 different trips. You know all they do is eat and sleep at that age so we took them and they are a lot easier then 1-2 years old. Would you rather hold a 2 month old or a 1-2year old in line for rides like POC, TSM, IASW etc. I would go now, they actually are easier just plan some time each day where they can sleep in the stroller without being disturbed if you don't go back to your room for a nap/break in the afternoon.:thumbsup2

I would go for it!! As long as you have help (and I believe you said your MIL would be with you) it will be fine. I wouldn't do it solo, however!

Babies get their first(since birth) vaccinations at 8 weeks, right? If the baby is on time, he/she should have had those by then. I assume since you are having a repeat c-section, they will schedule it slightly before your due date. I wouldn't take an infant that hadn't had those first shots, just because of them having a low immune system. As far as the flu, I would think the biggest risk would be on the airplane if you plan on using a carrier or sling at Disney. Can you wear a baby on the plane as well?

I would think an infant/toddler that is crawling or walking would be a lot harder to deal with that a young infant, but that's just me....

Congrats! :)

As everyone has said it really is a personal choice.
I would push back the trip, without a doubt, there are so many different bugs going around that time of year. I know that a 2 month old may not be touching many things but parents and siblings are and we all know that once one of the kids get something....

Also if he/she is under 2 months of age and gets a temp, can't even take tylenol. The weather is so iffy at that time as far as cold weather.

For us we are exhausted after touring the parks after sleeping all night, I couldn't even imagine doing that on no sleep.

With all of that being said it seems many people bring young children and it turns out fine.
