We are going to Disney at the end of Aug. I have quite a few character meals booked for the kids ( 5 and 8). I have Chef Mickey booked for lunch on the day we get there and then LTT for dinner later in the week. Should I keep both meals? We are on Free dining but since CRT takes 2 TS we will be paying OOP or one of these meals. Is it worth doing both as far as the characters go? I also have ADRS at CP, Akershus, Tuskerhouse, CRT, 1900 Park Fare, WCC and Ohana's.

We liked Chef Mickeys much more than LTT, if you want to drop one of those meals. If you want to keep all the character dining you should pay OP for CRT because it isn't worth using 2 of your TS credits on, that is what I did last year when I took my DD for breakfast.

This is my first trip in 18 years, so keep that in mind.

Are both of your kids girls? It seems that you have lots of princess stuff going on. If one of your kids is a boy, I say cancel something princessy.

To be honest, our only character meals will be Chef Mickeys and 1900 Park Fare. (We're doing LeCellier particularly for my son the huge steak fan!) I'm not sure how my youngest will react to characters in general; she's still afraid of Santa and the EAster Bunny at the mall.

And, more than that, I wanted to sample some of the other restaurants-- the Coral Reef, 'Ohanas (for dinner, no characters), and so on.

Your kids are going to have a wonderful time-- why pay OOP for a meal when you don't have to?

If you were to cancel either, I would choose LTT.

I love their lunch menu...not dinner. The ONLY reason I am doing it for our trip is because we will be at the Christmas Party one night and our choices were limited.

I you are not tied down to the park on the night you chose this place, consider another. I would, however, choose LTT for lunch any day!

Food or Characters?

Actually I don't know what lunch at CM is supposed to be like since it's not usually offered. People are very hit or miss on LTT dinner food. It's not something I want all of the time, but I order similar items every once in awhile when not at Disney.

From a character perspective, CM should give you Pluto. LTT should give you Chip and Dale.

You know your family better than I do, but for us, a little character-dining goes a long way. When our kids were young, we would plan ONE character meal and make a big deal about it. Make it truly special.

Make sure to have some more "adult" meals. It's nice to pick up a pat of butter now and then that is NOT embossed with a Mickey head!!!! And some restaurants - like Coral Reef with the big tank - keep kids occupied while you have a less-hectic meal.

So to answer your question, cancel both meals! LOL! I think you have plenty to begin with.

I say give me your LTT reservation,........LOL
Just kidding, but from looking at your ADR's I would say cancel LTT
