Cancel ADR day of reservation

I have an ADR and am wondering if we decide to cancel the reservation that day due to a change of plans (we have PH and might go to another park if it is too busy), can I go by there to cancel my reservation or do I need to call WDW dining number?

You can cancel the ressie at your hotel if you wish.

IF it is a prepaid meal such as CRT then the rule may be different as you have a cancellation policy that must be followed or pay anyway.

If you are in the park can you go to guest services?

I just have wdw-dine programmed into my phone. I've called many times from a queue for a ride to inquire about same day ADRs or to cancel.....
