Cancaling hopper possible?

Traveling with DW, DS3 and DD7. I bought 5d park hopper tickets, and thinking we will skip the day breaks going back to resort and rather spend the whole day in park and let kids nap in the stroller. Is it possible to cancel hopper option and get refund for the difference? I can always add if I like.

You can always cancel it, but if you are within 45 days they may charge you to make the change.

I am not sure but I am guessing that you can't. Once you buy the tickets you are stuck with them. You might want to call and get the answer from someone at Disney.

But if you choose to keep the park hopper on your ticket you can always go to the park that opens early then go back to the hotel and recover then go to the late night park in the evening. When I was working down there that happened a lot with people who had little ones in tow.

We cancelled hoppers before our Feb 2014 trip. Our tickets were purchased through Disney, as part of a package, and they just credited the difference back to my CC.

Tickets don't have a specific date on them that they have to be used, so I don't know how they would know how far out you are from your trip unless they were purchased as part of a package deal. Disney is usually pretty flexible, so I'm sure they would work with you.

I bought my tickets from Disney directly but using the IBM discount link. I am waiting on the paper tickets to arrive in the mail first and will then call and cancel the hopper.

Sounds like you bought stand alone tickets, making a refund/change very unlikely.

This was my experience as well, because I purchased an entire package through Disney. If you've purchased stand alone tickets (meaning not part of a larger lodging package) I'm not sure what is possible.

You may want to check the terms and conditions. Usually special discounts and programs have wording and changes/cancellations are either not allowed or difficult to change. A paper ticket cannot be as easily manipulated as a package reservation or digital one.

My guess is that he paper tickets will have PH written on them and would need to be refunded in full and then purchase a new one, but I may be wrong. Good luck.

You can trade in completely-unused stand alone tickets towards tickets with different attributes such as water park fun, but the "rule" is that no change is returned.
