I was just wondering if most of you book through Disney or use a travel company? I used West Jet the last couple times and with the dollar what it is I am wondering what most people do, we fly out of Toronto so most of our package is plane ticket prices. If the dollar came down I would be willing to fly out of Buffalo.

I've booked through the Disney site the last two trips. Everything went as smooth as can be.

I liked being in control of all the options...

We flew out of Syracuse, NY and saved big buck compared to Ottawa.

We booked with Disney last 2 times- I agree, love the control and being able to plan and do everything myself. We usually fly on Aeroplan points, last year out of Ottawa, this year out of Montreal. Would be worth checking if the Dollar difference makes it worth booking through a Canadian TA... Dollar was at par last year which was great. Exchange rate this year added about $900 CAN to our US$ vacation... Not fun to see on a VISA bill! Will definitely consider flying out of Syracuse next year when girls are old enough to do the extra drive.

For our recent trip we used Dreams Unlimited to book the reservations. There pricing is the same as the Disney site, they will make ADR for you and arrange ME. No complaints ....

Our 1st 2 trips were booked through Mousesavers.....the past 2 trips (next one in less than 60 days) was booked through Westjet.

We had no problems with either......but our last 2 trips seemed to be great value through Westjet as everything was included and we didn't have to worry about flights and constantly searching for the best deal - with the current Westjet offer, our family of 4 is flying from our hometown (Moncton) for $3600 Cdn (7 days MYW, POP Century and flights)...this includes all taxes....it's slightly more than what we paid 1 year ago though

Lately I have been using Dreams Unlimited and I am really happy.

Amazing service (booked ADRs, changed ADRs, researched all the different hotel options, put up with me changing resorts 1.5 weeks before the trip, etc).

I have previously booked through Westjet and directly through Disney and personally I find Dreams Unlimited the same price but I have to do less work :thumbsup2

we used theflightcentre.ca

they have the exact same pricing as USA but, and here's the kicker, in CANADIAN funds!

We book through Fairytale Dreams & Destinations (they're in Bolton, ON). They just take such wonderful care of our vacations (staying totally on top of any discounts, booking our ADRs, answering all our questions, helping us plan our days, etc.) that we just wouldn't book a Disney vacation without them! :thumbsup2 I love that they're Canadian and that you have the option of contacting them either via email or phone. We know our vacation is in the best hands possible :goodvibes

Have a great trip!

I agree that right now the airline travel companies will be so desperate that they will package at a great price! I have never seen a good deal that included flight with Disney. I have booked accommodations and the whole WYW with them in the past, but never had them book my flight as they didn't offer as good a deal as what I could find on my own.

With the dollar the way it is - pay Cdn wherever you can!

We book through Disney... cause I'm an admitted control freak :cutie:

We've done both. Booked everything seperately and this september we've booked a bounce back deal with obviously everything disney!!

This time we booked with Disney as soon as our dates (Dec 20-27-09) opened up last Sept. We still need flights. I'll be watching WestJet Vacations for when they post Dec packages. If we can do better I may just book with them (right now I guesstimate the flights for 4 in the packages are just under $2000) if we can't get a decent price on airfare, and get a refund from Disney to pay off most of it. Right now it's wait and see about airfare.:confused3

W booked through CAA. The discount we received booking through them allowed us to book the Savannah view at AK.

We booked through Disney twice before we bought DVC. We like the fact that we can make changes at any time and get confirmation right away.

Well for most of our trips, we go with my mother's DVC, so we have to book through Member Services and flights seperately.

HOWEVER, I know that's not what you're asking about. Twice we've been ( in my adult life ) through regular reservations, and another time we stayed a few days at a regular resort before moving to BCV. The first time was with an agency, the second time we booked through Disney and the few days also. I liked having Disney be aware of all my details and at the time, I got a decent price. Seems to vary though, I wouldn't advise against checking all options for best price.

We booked our package (excluding air tickets) through Disney. We were going to buy our own flight tickets (drive to Syracus from Ottawa) and would have saved $300.00 per ticket compared to flying out of Ottawa. There are 6 of us so that would and still would be a phenomenal savings. But alas, with our dollar sitting where it is, we decided to drive down and save even more. The kids are as excited about the road trip as they are about Disney!

I booked our first ever trip last summer using the disney site and wouldn't do it any other way
