Canadians and Tax refunds

How long between the time you filed your taxes until you received your refund? Last year it took 10 days exactly for us. I Filed our taxes last Friday and checked my CRA account today it says my notice of assessment will be ready to view on Monday leading me to think we might get our refund on Monday or close to Monday. Has anyone received their refund in less than 10 business days? Just out of curiosity.

10 business days seems about right, but then again I've never timed it. I assume you filed electronically as well?

If you filed last Friday it should be next Monday.

Yes, that's about right. We filed ours the day it opened up and we had them back in 10 days. I think our money was deposited the day after the assessment was available.

So I ended up getting it last night. It was only 5/6 business days depending if you count the day I did them. That was really fast.

Wow, that's fast. I just got some more paperwork for my taxes on Monday. My brother received the same changed notice and now he has to wait until he receives his assessment and then he gets to re-file. I'm glad(ok my DH does the taxes) they haven't been done yet. He'll probably wait another week or so in case something else comes in.

We received our refunds in 6 business days (e-filed on a Thursday, deposited into our account the following Friday). The fastest ever. Revenue Canada is eating their wheaties this tax season.

Ours took longer than usual to be assessed this year. Even still, it was only about 12 or 13 business days. Can't complain.

Last year I got it in 5 days. I still have to file our taxes. I'll hopefully do that next week.

What' she a tax refund?

We figure any refund larger than a few 100 is a really poor investment -- they don't pay any interest (charge it though!!)
