Canadian Trips July - Sept. 2011

we are going aug 26 to Labour Day. Staying at POR from aug 28 to the sunday night with free dining unless i get a great deal renting DVC points. Thinking of a couple nights on the gulf coast the first two nights- ANY suggestions!

We did the same week last year and loved it-yes it was hot but no hotter than southern ontario in July and the crowds were low

Hey sk8jdgca staying at same resort, same time (Aug 28-Sept 4). Maybe we'll run into each other (on bus/boat perhaps) I plan to be pinning a green Mickey head on my back pack with Stan Solo on it.

Where do you hope to stay AB or the mansions? And why?

Since we are on the topic of summer in Florida has anybody found a place were you can buy a mister fan in Canada? How much do they cost in DW? All I keep reading is that they are expensive in The World but have yet to find out how much expensive is.

I don't know if they have them here but I bought some at Wal-Mart in Florida for something like 6$ or 7$. Just make sure to bring extra batteries for the fans

We're heading to Caribbean Beach Sept. 20 - Oct. 1.

Hopefully we'll be DVC Members before then though...fingers crossed!

They are between $15-$20 USD. I can't remember. We usually pick them up at Target or Walgreens when we get down there. We never remember to pack the ones we have! Ha.

I think Tanooki answered my question about were to buy them and snowangel answered my question on the cost at Disney. Thank you to the two of you.
My DW is planing a trip south of the border before we go so she will check out target. In the mean time I'll keep trying eBay. Or, we could go the hitchhikers to the galaxy route an use a towel.

I'm jumping on this bandwagon as well even though our trip is in October. We will be staying at POFQ from October 4-12!!! First time at POFQ, first MNSSHP, first F&W, very excited!!!!

(Would the OP be willing to change the thread title to include October? ...I'd love to know if anyone else is going at the same time as we are.)

Hey Stan Solo- I'll keep an Eye out for you!! I'm hoping for the mansions (a referbed one if possible) They just look so pretty They had a neat mister at JSYK last year that didn't need batteries-however there are so many misting fans through out the parks that we didn't bother (Disclosure-We do not have air conditioning in our home so me and the kids are not spoiled)

And by the way I am the great great great grandchild of Darth Vadar!! Really!!
