Canadian Tickets - FP and Activating

We're coming in August for 3 days prior to a cruise ....plus will hit a park on arrival day as soon as we can get there (we probably won't arrive get ourselves to the park until 4:30pm or so). Thus, we're going to purchase the Canadian tickets. A few questions:

1. Since the Canadian tickets are anytime between now and Dec 31, 2020, how do you book your FastPass tickets? For our August date, our FP date is end of June, but our tickets aren't date specific.
2. On arrival day, we are planning on checking into our hotel (we have Pop booked), quick unpack and then go to MK. Do we get our Magic Bands at our hotel first, and then convert the Disney tickets (with Canadian ID) at the ticket kiosk at MK?

The current Canadian ticket offer has a minimum of 4 days and they are date specific. When you buy them you will have to choose a start date. There is a day or two of leeway allowed on either end depending on number of days. You book your fastpasses 60 days from your first day when staying onsite. For the second question I think you have everything correct. Pickup bands at the resort and activate at MK ticket window. Some people have reported being able to activate at their resort but It seems to be hit and miss. Never hurts to try.

Thank you. Duh...I forgot that when you purchase the Canadian tickets that you enter your start date. So then I assume that the tickets are attached to your account and you can book from there starting at that date?

You’re welcome! Yes you can book fast passes 60 days from the start date. We bought tickets a couple of weeks ago and they linked right up. This is a last minute end of January trip for us and have booked our fast passes too without any problems. Have a great trip!
