Canadian Onsite Guests No Longer Eligible to Pre-purchase MagicBands (MBs)?

We booked our DVC accommodations through a third party reseller, so I wonder if that excludes us from the offer.
It shouldn't. As long as you're staying on property, you should qualify.
 
I edited to also change all my contact information to US (including phone # and billing address), but I still only see retail pricing. Also, I don't have the "Get Started" button to view the current pre-arrival pricing for Magic Bands.

I have a regular package and I see the same thing after changing everything so I don't think it's your booking.

That's really strange. If you have changed everything, you're basically living in the US and should be able to order. I did not use the address of a Disney resort. I wonder if that makes a difference.

I can order, but not at the pre-arrival pricing and the "Get Started" button does not appear for me. I changed my addresses to a non-resort address, logged out and back in with an incognito browser but nothing changed for me. 🤷‍♀️
 

Worked for me. I changed everything. All phone #s to US, home and billing addresses to US. However, I don't know if that will be an issue when it comes time to pay for it as the billing address won't match what is on my credit card.
You have to pay for the MB's when you select them. They are charged prior to your arrival, you select the bands, add to cart, then you have to check out and pay right then. It's not added on to your reservation to pay at a later time. You may want to check that you actually purchased them.

Yes, I did not go through with the purchase, which is why I added that statement. I just wanted to see if I would be able to purchase them, but I already have so many MBs that I don't know what to do with them. I am a sucker for a nicely designed MB+ though, so I still might bite the bullet. If I can't pay with my credit card due to mismatching addresses, I'm sure I could use a Disney gift card.

Gift card is an interesting hack! Though from the previous reports by other posters, your method doesn't seem to be working anymore. Maybe, as you mentioned, with a gift card it will. I'll be curious if it has actually worked for anyone now. Hopefully someone reports back with a success. And I, too am a sucker for the different colored MB's, I have so many I had to delete a few from my account because I was having issues with one on my last trip! The FD suggested I delete a few old ones (from the first year they offered them, I'm not even sure where they are now), I did and it seemed to solve the problems I was having!

I never even got to the stage to look at the discounted magicbands so at least in my case a gift card wouldn't work.
 
There is a workaround - all you need to do is put in a US Shipping Address on your profile AND be on the US English version of the website, not Canada. I’ve done this before and just ensured I was in the timeframe for them to ship to resort before ordering.

Is this workaround still working for anyone? Our trip is in September, and looking to get a MB+ for my sister as she's never had one. With our crappy Canadian $, that $10 could come in handy for something else!

It never worked for me
 
I can confirm the hack still works. I have the "get started" button and can see what is available and have discounted prices. I wanted to see what is available for our upcoming trip.

What happens after you hit get started. Just asking cause I can also get to the get started button in your screenshot but can't get passed that. Do you have a screenshot of available bands?

Yes, I do, and they are discounted. Not a great selection though.

Nevermind, I tried for the millionth time after giving up months ago and was able to do it. Maybe it needs to be within a certain timeframe

Thank you for confirming it still works, gives me hope... I am still unable to go through, but will keep trying. I am outside of the 10 days window right now though, so I will continue trying!

I needed a US address, US phone #, and changed the website from Canada (English) to United States (English). When I did not change my phone number, it still had my address listed as Canada. Once I changed my number to US (which I had to verify with a text message), it then worked.
