Canadian May Photopass Share - FILLED!!!

When you edit your photos you will see they are numbered. They will be in that order on the CD's. If we let the OP know what numbers are ours, she should be able to copy just those pictures for people. If we end up with a lot of photos that may save you the number of CD's you have to use.

It would be a real challenge for me to sift through hundreds of pictures of 4 other families and try to sort them.

Quite frankly, I'm not willing to sort them out. I am offering the ordering, copying, and mailing out of the discs. I don't mind using as many discs as necessary as I'm not adding that cost to you.

How's the weather there? We're being pounded by a snowstorm here in Ontario!!

In Vancouver we had a lot of rain today and just before rush hour it turned to snow. Vancouver doesn't deal well with snow. My wife is stuck at SFU as they closed the only road in or out due to all the idiots with bald summer tires who have gotten into accidents. So even though we have brand new snow tires on our Caravan she can't get out. It might be a long night for us as she still need to pick me up from work in Burnaby.
At least I can still dream of our upcoming vacation in April.

That will bring our total to 6 participants (and our overall costs down)
I'm going to call this Photopass swap officially "FILLED."

Our dates range from April 26 to May 23, so that should allow each of us to upload the card number within the 30 day period
and then edit for 30 days before I order the CD. As soon as I get word that we are all rady to go (ie less than 30 days), I'll order.
Here is our final list:

I will set up the account once I return (May 20), and you will be able to upload your Photopass numbers when I give you the account information. Important: do not set up your own account and load card numbers as you will not be able to reload into the group's account later.

Now we just have to wait until May We'll work out payment when the date gets closer. Stay subscribed to this thread to stay updated.

There are lots of spots for photographs and the most popular spots have more than one photographer. You may have to wait a bit for some of the main shots (like in front of the Partners statue, or the Tree of Life) but they move pretty quick.

What is the best setup for payment? I don't mind waiting for payment until after I've ordered the CD(s) and keeping your pictures hostage until you pay(he he), but I will do whatever setup you think is better for all involved. It really doesn't matter to me. My last group we did paypal and I collected payment before I mailed out the copied CDs.

So, payment now or later? Method of payment? Any drawbacks to individuals in the group either way? I'm open to opinions

Last year when I did a PP swap, I had some of my group send me money through Paypal. I asked that they do it from their bank account since I wasn't set up to take credit cards. One member from my group used http://www.certapay.com - It was free to receive but I'm not sure if there was a charge to send. Other people just sent me a cheque - I just waited for them to clear before sending out the pics.

So whatever you decide is fine with me (Guess that doesn't really help does it ).

I don't have PayPal so I'd rather just send money. Did we end up with a final amount per person?

Do we also need to decide a range of days that we can upload and edit our photos? We need to make sure everyone has time before the ordering date.

Just want to remind people that they need to go into the group account to load their pictures (not their own if they have one). Heard about someone loading theirs to the wrong account in another swap and didn't want that to happen to anyone here!
