We're booked at the Polynesian Aug 24-31 and we decided to upgrade to the deluxe dining plan as we have never been and who knows when we'll get a chance to go back!!!

We managed to get all ressies that we wanted, just had to do Le Cellier for lunch instead of dinner, but that's just fine by me!

Add us to the list, we booked POP (2 rooms) for me, DH, DS 12, DS10, DS,10 & DD 8, from October 20-28th with 5 day base ticket with waterparks and free dinning! Now, all we have to do is find cheap flights and get MNSSHP tickets when they come out!:cool1:

Hi motherof4!
I was wondering if you could tell me how you got the free didning for october? We are going on our honeymoon and if we could save a few dollars it would e nice!

Thanks a million!

So, sorry, wrong dates! Oops! Actually is September 20-28th, we went that time in October last year! I will edit post!

I'm so excited. I booked my sis and I for 8 nights at POP from Sept 12 to 20 with free dining. This will be my second trip and her first trip to WDW. I stayed at CSR last trip, but wanted to save money this time around so we went with POP which I had heard good reviews about on DISboards. We haven't booked our flights yet, but are going to check out Air Miles to see if we can get something for a reasonable number of miles. Also, we have to book our ADRs soon so we can get the restaurants and times we want.

I can hardly wait... I'll be spending my birthday with Mickey!! :cheer2: Plus, the MNSSHP is on that night as well. Does anyone know how much tickets will cost, and when they are likely to go on sale? Thanks!

We are booked for August 29 to September 6 at Port Orleans Riverside.
Can't wait.

This certainly has been the "Year of a Million" changes to vacations for my DH and I! We originally were going to go to Disneyland ... bought the Entertainment book and got a great deal on the HoJo ($55/night). Then, 1 week after we booked, we got a 40% off code in the mail from WDW. Well, cancel HoJo and book All Star Sports September 12-20th (MNSSHP is my favourite and I couldn't pass up the chance to go). We were trying to do a cheaper trip and our budget for food was about $400 for the week. Well, then free dining was announced and it would only cost us about $80 to do free dining (and not have to eat counter service all week! Priceless!!) so we cancelled the room only and now have a package (with 8 day PH tix) at All-Star Sports, same dates. All of our ADR's are made so now we can sit back and count down the days! We have done the dining plan before but never free dining ... is it true the food tastes better when free??;)

September 11-16 at the Carribean. We were at POR last year so we wanted to try something new.
We got all of our ADR's too! Whoohoo!

we bumped our trip to a week earlier to take advantage, we've never tried the DDP so are looking forward to it! (hey if it involves food, I'm there)

Got 14 nights CBR sept 20th to oct 4th, 10 day park hopper+waterpark for 2 adults and 1 child.
Booked through Dreams Unlimited (like last year)
hi, so you just have to check in by Sep 20 and the free dining applies for your entire stay? that rocks!! :thumbsup2

we are booked for CBR from Sep 14-20

Doing POP from Sept 6-13 with free dining. We originally had a townhouse booked at Windsor Hills but couldn't pass up saving $750 for our family of four when we compared all of our expenses! I hope we don't regret it! :goodvibes

Count us in for free dining. We are booked squeaked in with the Canadian code CMU.

Pop Preferred Room 29 August - 1 September 2008

ADRS Chef Mickeys
Whispering Canyon Cafe
and Boma

First time at Pop for all.

Well we crunched the numbers and couldn't resist either. We still have southwest credit to use so it only made sense to spend a few thousand more....:lmao: I was looking at a week in Sept and then DH suggested 10 days so it isn't too rushed! So now we are booked for Sept 10-20 at POR! We went there for our honeymoon 11 years ago.....now we are going with 4 kids!
I'm now scrambling for Dining ressies. My TA will do the calling for me but I have to come up with 10!
Oh and the kids have no idea. I don't know when they'll find out!

We went for free dining last year for 14 days and didn't tell the kids until we were on the way to airport:woohoo:.
Might I suggest with 4 kids character meals. The characters come right to your table for autographs and pictures - no waiting in line for them. Also most of them are buffet type meals so there is something for even the picky eaters.

We booked bounceback last year.

2 rooms at POR Sep 27-Oct 7. 8 people with free dining and during food and wine festival! can't be beat.

Well this is our first trip to WDW and what better time to try it out than with free dining lol. We got what we wanted we are going Aug 24-Sept 6 at All Star Movies preferred room with 10 base ticket for $2400 for 2 adults and 2 children. We are going through where we want to go so that this weekend we can book our ADRs. Any suggestion for must go for first timers?

Our first time to WDW was during "Free Dining 2007"! :goodvibes We tried several places and some we are returning to this year (Bouncedback).

You should really try:

~ Crystal Palace (even with older kids, DH & I loved it, teen son didn't mind it, it is beautiful and the food is wonderful)!
~ Boma's - we LOVED this place and neither DS or I are very "adventuress" eaters. It is awesome!
~ 50's Prime Time - this place is so much fun! We ate there twice, because we enjoyed the atmosphere and food so much the first time, we cancelled Sci-Fi and booked 50's PT a second time on our trip!

These are our three "repeats"... the other places we ate did not impress us enough to try again! We are trying new places that we have hear good things about (like Le Cellier, Coral Reef, CRT, Chef Mickey's) so you may want to try getting ADR's at those places as well!

Have you already made ADR's? Places book quickly during the FD so it would be great to get those made ASAP! :goodvibes Enjoy!
