Canadian dollar heading to par!!!!!!!!!

Dollar hit .97 this morning on foreign markets. Too bad our banks are closed today. As soon as it hits par I am buying and depositing to my US$ account. We are going for three weeks at Christmas and I am paying for my sister and her family as a thank you gift and Christmas gift. I find myself watching my banks foreign exchange rates more than I am on the DIS

Yayyy! I made the final payment on my trip today! My final payment was due tomorrow... the dollar chose a perfect time to skyrocket! Wooo!

For every cent the dollar changes, + or -, equals about $10 per US $1000 depending if we gain or lose compared to the greenback.

Nobody knows! Those who say they do are lying. It's VERY hard to predict currency movements.

As was previously stated by Ham Ham, the impact between buying while at 0.96$ and 0.98$ or even 0.94$ is minimal at best. If you want to gamble, wait and see. If not, then pay for your trip today, 0.96-.97 is still an exceptionnal value.

Final payment isn't due till the 21st but we paid yesterday just in case the dollar took a nose dive figuring there isn't much of a difference between 0.97 and 1.00. Let me tell you it was so exciting to open my e-mail today and see and invoice with a zero balance in it!

I got almost exactly .94 when I paid the balance recently. I'm not crying.
