Andto the TR, stranger!
How cool is that?
(I can ask that, because if you don't
think it's cool... you've skipped ahead.)
Notice anything about the front cowling?
And... not to keep you in suspense,
I did eat it the next day.
I had considered tossing it, actually.
I'm not a big fan of pizza pops.
What's your best
or favourite breakfast recipe?
Sausage & Tomato Egg
When I first started thinking
about this road trip,
I had one destination
in mind.
The Harley Davidson museum
in Milwaukee.
The trip morphed quite a bit
from there,
but it was still on the agenda.
Care to come along?
Not long afterwards I was crossing
the Menomonee River,
made famous by the Muppets in 1969.
Surely you know it? It's been heard
as recently as 2011.
FYI, 1903 isn't the address
but the date the company
was founded.
Took one last shot of this sculpture.
Seems... improbable, but...
I'm still fairly new at this,
so who am I to judge?
Guess I'll have to try it
on my bike.
I wandered inside.
The doors were enormous.
Those grab bars are about chest high.
Yet they were so well balanced
that opening them was no more
difficult than opening a normal door.
Note the exhaust pipe lights.
Admission to the museum is $20.
But as a H.O.G (Harley Owners Group)
member, I got in for free.
Score
A few things that stand out to me:
(maybe not to you. Maybe you don't care...
I did tell you to skip ahead, you know.)
The bike is basically a bicycle with
an engine instead of pedals.
And the drive belt... is leather.
True.. but it ended in November.
I don't know, but suspect this bike
was built for action in WWI
and either just missed it,
or was built after the war
Actually, no you don't.
It's not really there.
Here's another view.
Sometimes I get so used to seeing
vehicles (bikes... cars... whatever)
as a whole that I forget that they
are really the sum of their parts.
But I can honestly say,
(like you could several minutes ago...
I told you to skip ahead!)
that I was sick and tired
of looking at bikes by now.
Made it!
With even a couple minutes to spare. Ha!
Sure enough, within a couple of minutes,
@irene_dsc walked in.
I must admit that every time
I do a DISmeet,
I wonder if the other person
will show up.
When we were done,
Irene also mentioned that
the Key Lime pie was good here.
I think I told her that I'd save it
for back in Canada.
Yeah... well... About that...
It didn't even last until the
end of the next day!![]()
If you don't mind, I dropped the TR
writing at this point and didn't take photos.
I just wanted to spend some time
with some old friends.
I hadn't seen them since
the Niagara Falls trip back in 2014.
The haul for today:

Thanks!
I keep meaning to
make crepes, but I
never have.
No recipe.
The trip was lovely - I was very glad that my ankle handled the going from no walking from January to mid March to Disney amount of walking.
Shoulder - meh, I'm afraid that my Olympics Gymnastics Career is never going to happen, lol!
Actually have been diagnosed with a weird chronic pain condition called CRPS - basically my brain and nerves are on constant panic mode and my individual injured limbs show weird symptoms and for me, constant ache.
Hopefully with physio they will settle themselves down. Going to go to a new physiotherapist and try IMS to see if it will help me get more shoulder mobility.
Aren't you glad you asked, haha?
Luckily it's something I can cope with for now.
I told DH that we finally have medical proof that I am as delicate as The Princess And The Pea Princess, and should be treated accordingly!
It was special, different but special. I even had some solo time.
This I can do. My family tells me I'm a real good nag.
Yikes! I'm going to be on pins and needles until then.
Like any proud Mama I have some share.

I've never tried whipped cream. I don't know if it would have the right consistency. Might not be thick enough.
Yeah sure.![]()
Sausage should not be cooled. Mix it hot so the creme cheese melts in. Spread the warm mixture on the crescent roll dough.
Right?! That's all I'm asking for, really. Hmm... maybe I should reconsider. I'll scope things out next month![]()
Oh, you...![]()

Your trip is SO close!!! I know I've said this already, but HAVE SO MUCH FUN!!! Anxious to hear about it!![]()
I got one from Boatwright's years ago (when they still served breakfast) for their french toast. Basically french toast with lots of cinnamon and sugar dumped on it. So good! And so good for you! Will have to go home and look it up.
Great! See you at the end!
Well, now that's stuck in my head all day.
If there's one thing I hate, it's fake sheds.
More like hubcaps.
Or you could, like, buy an iPad or something.
I don't think my body is capable of bending like that.
If it's free, it's for me!
I can see where that would be useful. Like on my stationary bike.
Depends on how well it holds up.
I wonder how many was a few too many?
I like how the Knievel bike was posed.
That's cool!
I remember that one!
You and me both, pal.
I'm more worried that they'll get one look at me and take off.
You should have led with this!
Sold! I'm in.
Very relatable.
I'm working on a strongly-worded memo as we speak.
Oh, man. Sorry to hear that. Poor guy.
I can see why you like him.
Don't know if I can respect a fake shed, though.
And prepare you did!Yay!
Replies for me (on this and other TRs) will be delayed as I prepare for your arrival and a weekend full of DISmeets!
I am so jealous of your trip. Pictures must be taken and posted!!
Have a magical time everyone!
So, I'm here! I'm back! Sorry I was MIA for so long.
Missed you though!
Can't wait to read more!
When I saw your part about visiting with Smidgy & Nebo, a lightbulb wen off and I think I may have sent you a PM.
Can't wait for more!
Weeeee I just caught up. It looks like you are having a blast.
It's amazing that bikes have come so far!
I don't know how you do so much driving, I get tired just think about it.
Maybe I'm just tired from the exam period grind but regardless.
It looks like you had a great start to your trip.
Well now you know!I thought your plane got in at 2PM, no wo der you made it to the hotel so fast!
I did!Have fun and take lots of pictures!
Thanks, Donna.Have a great trip!
As soon as I came back, I was out for a couple weeks! But I'm temporarily back now! Damn work got in the way. I was in Paris, FR at the end of March for work
and that meant that all my normal work got piled up...
which took me the better part of 7 work days to climb out from...
and then I decided to book a very last minute trip to WDW while my wife is going to be in Orlando for a work conference (free hotel!!!).
So while I'll be around for a few more days -- I'm about to go dark while at WDW. I'll catch back up sometime late next week.
