Canadian at Par deal??

DD and her friend have hatched a plan to go to WDW in May. Ever since we got a postcard from WDW they have been considering the at par deal. As they are both 1st year university students they do not have Visa cards. Can I book the reservation on my Visa card but in DD's name? As it is a package it would have to be paid in advance anyway so they would not have to produce the Visa card at check in. Any other suggestions or advice would be appreciated. It would be the first time DD goes on a trip without us but I feel very comfortable sending her to WDW!

I don't see why you couldn't pay for it on your VISA. They shouldn't care who pays for it, as long as it gets paid and by a VISA card.

The At-Par rates are really good, as far as I can tell. We are using one for March. I think she should book sooner than later though because there are limited numbers. During my reservations, through several calls, both the camping sites and Polynesian were supposedly booked up. The fella did say to keep checking back though because they seem to come open sometimes. You have 2 weeks from when you make the booking to actually commit and pay the $200US deposit. Everytime you make a change (like dates) you get another 2 week extension I think.

Don't you usually have to present your card when you arrive? They usually want it on file for such things as calls, room service. I would call first & see what they say before you book.

i am going jan24 with the at par deal and didnt have a visa used my stepmother's visa and she put the room under my name and that was no problem.

You only need to show a card at check in if you want to charge to your room. Also, they don't usually mind what card it is at that time, as long as the pkg is paid for.

Just FYI, Fun Sun Vacations (and possibly Holiday House) are also offering the Canadian dollars at par deal, you don't need a VISA at all... you can just book with a travel agent, and they are able to book the Canadian $ at Par through the travel wholesaler...

I got my package (air, 10 days PC hotel, passes, transfers and taxes) for $1800 Cdn... but I am from Alberta,so the air rate is a lot higher than it would be for traveling out of Eastern Canada. I booked with The Bay Travel, doing the deferred payment on my Bay card...

We are going with my inlaws this spring. We have APs, so have a room only. My inlaws got the Canadian at par Visa package deal. They don't use credit cards, so I booked and paid for their package using my Visa. The reservation is in my name, and their names are noted as the people in the room. They don't require the Visa at check-in since it's a prepaid package. They won't be able to charge things to their room, though.
