We found out a month ago that there would be a Getaway Days Travel Expo over the Memorial Day weekend at the Paradise Pier hotel in Disneyland. We were told they would have great incentives for people buying. We ended up going and getting six new DVC pins and watching a neat presentation on the new things being built. So we purchased 160 points at AKV with 220 developer points and two annual passes.
We are also wondering about cheap plane tickets because there just doesn't seem like there are any. We are considering driving down past the border to fly down. Anyone have any ideas regarding getting down to Florida?

My guide told me during the Getaway Expo that DVC indeed sent in the paper work to Alberta for Disney to be able to sell DVC here, but for some reasons, the process has not been completed yet.

Great developer points! We also bought in DL in November! You just have to watch for seat sales. Sign up for airline newsletters like Get Set with WJ and AC newsletter and watch seat sales. We bought out tickets for our December trip in February. At the time it was really cheap to fly into Tampa so we did that instead.
