Hi everyone. I know this isn't Disney related, but I think there are a number of you out there that hopefully might be able to help me. We visited Canada's Wonderland about 17 years ago (pre-kids), and haven't been back since.

We are now considering a visit there with our two daughters, ages 10 and 8, this summer. I am just wondering if you can give me your honest opinions on whether there are enough things for kids of that age to do to make it worth the trip? Also, are there any hotels in the area that you can recommend?

Thanks so much!

There is so much for kids that age!!!Mine are 5 & 7 but are tall so they meet height and weight requirements for alot of the rides. We have bought season's passes again this year as we love to go. It doesnt have the Disney magic, but is full of thrills and fun. It is very different then when we were kids, but be warned it is expensive inside the park. A bottled drink will run you about 2.75 to 3.50 alone! I always bring a small backpack with drinks and fruit roll ups. We honestly never get tired of going, the kids just have too much fun. It can get hot and crowded in the summer, especially during the weekends.

We are going this summer. I highly reccommend it. Last time we went the kids were 4 and 6 and they loved it. Have fun Kat

I think an 8 and 10 year old will have a blast there!!!

It has changed a lot in 17 years.

I don't know if it would have been there when you were last there but there is a large waterpark complex in the park. You could easily spend half the day just in the waterpark section alone!

We just spent the afternoon at Wonderland! Your kids will have a great time there! It doesn't have the magic of Disney but it's still a great place. There are tons of rides for kids aged 10 and 8 and the waterpark is great. The waterpark is open everyday as of June 18 (weekends only from May 21 to June 18). When my kids were 10 and 8, I think we went to the park at least 7 times (we had a season pass). You won't recognize the park from 17 years ago; it's much better now! It's also huge and there's lots of walking.

I'm not sure about hotels; I'll see if I can find any more info and will post later. The website for Wonderland is www.canadaswonderland.com.

Have a wonderful time there!

just wanted to let you know that if you buy your tickets online you save almost $20 each, they are e-tickets so you don't have to pay for shipping.

Thank you SO much, everyone! I knew I could count on my fellow DIS board friends for help. We can't wait to make the trip with our girls. I'm sure they'll have a great time...

Just to let you know you CAN NOT bring in canned drinks. We went April 30, and a friend had pop cans for her kids, and she had to put them back into the car. You will go through a security check. Also if it rains the day you go, stick it out for a bit then make sure you go to Customer Service and ask for a ticket for another day (called a "rain" check).

They will have a great time!!!!!! We go every year. Make sure to save room for funnel cake, no one makes it better than Canada's Wonderland!!!!!! SORRY DISNEY, NO OFFENSE............ :cool1:
