Canada & US - free photo book each month!

Last month I came across this somewhere. Wasn't sure it would work, but I just received them in the mail!

The photo books is 7 3/4" x 9 3/4". It has 14 pages inside. In the very middle are two additional "coupon/advertising" pages but HotPrints made these so they are easily removed and don't affect your photobook. Apparently by inserting these "coupon/advertising" pages - HotPrints is making this photo book totally free to people.

I made the book called "scrapbook" for my son and titled it "All About Andrew". He's 6 and this has 60 small photos of him & family from birth to present. I can't wait until he gets home from school to give him this!

Under my husband's e-mail, I tried creating an Epcot Passport book (maxbook) for my daughter using some jpgs offered by another DIS member. The jpgs came out look very nice, but this won't work as an Epcot Passbook. What I thought would be a front cover, turned out to be the first inside page. Hmm... actually, I think I just figured out a way to fix this... But I think the photobook is too big for a passport.

In anycase, I'm very pleased with how my son's photobook turned out!! And since each person gets 1 book free a month, I'm going to sign up the kids email as well for 4 a month!

After reading the messages from people who said they don't see recatcha words, I went there this morning to try adding my son's e-mail account.

I don't understand why it doesn't work for some of you.

I was able to sign-up his account without issue. It asked me to type the recatcha words, I did - and now it says it sent a link to his e-mail that we need to verify.

I'm using IE 7

Okay I have mine ready. Everytime I save it and then reopen to work on the book certain photos get re-adjusted and then part of my head is cut off. I fix it by moving it in the photo frame area and save but the next time I look at the book it's back the way it wants the photo.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Will they automatically align the photo better or will it get printed the way the software keeps wanting it to be? One more question, I didn't fill in all the caption areas-If the photo is under that area, it will just print the photo - correct?

I'm having a hard time...how do I upload photos?

I get the screen that has the logo and the tabs (pending, inbox, sent, etc.), but under the "my books" it only says "Come on let's make some HotBooks". I can't find anywhere to start a new book. I checked the FAQ but didn't find how to fix this.

Nevermind...I finally figured it out. I was clicking the wrong button when the window pops up telling you you can make 1 free book this month.

Here is what the FAQ section says about response some of you are getting:

We have added the 'reCAPTCHA' validation to our Sign Up to prevent spammers setting up fake accounts.

You should see an image at the bottom right of the screen and you need to type the 2 words that appear into the box, and then click 'Sign Up'. If that works correctly, you should see the message in red 'We have sent a confirmation email to your account.....". When you get the email, you need to click on the link within that email and your account will be confirmed.

If you don't see a large reCAPTCHA box on the bottom right of the screen, just above the red "Sign Up" button, please try the following:
Refresh the page in the browser
Delete the browser cache (or "Temporary internet files") and the cookies, close the browser and then open it again? That solves a lot of general problems with Internet Explorer.
If you are using Internet Explorer, do you have another browser you can try, for example Firefox?

If none of the above helps, please email a screenshot of your browser window to support@hotprints.com?

For a Mac, press Cmd + Shift + 3 together and an image of your screen will be saved to the desktop.

I just received an e-mail, starting next month the book will still be free for Canadians and the UK but you will have to pay for shipping.
