Canada Pavilion film

So I just got word from a CM friend of ours who is in the know that the film at Epcot in Canada is now NOT on the slate for update. It was set to be done but has now been put on hiatus as resources etc are allocated to other avenues in the parks that were deemed more of a necessity. Woo Hoo this is one happy Canuk after learning this. Now it doesn't mean they won't eventually update it but not in the foreseeable future. Sorry to those that may ask but I am not at liberty to divulge any info on the CM or what they do as it could lead to problems for them but know this they are very well informed in this avenue.

I can tell you that I know there are several storyboarded remakes. I also believe that sometime ago a crew was sent to get some specific footage. I don't know if it's been greenlighted at this time - I suspect it may have been, but them placed on hold as teams and resources were re-focused on other 'larger' refubs/developments etc..

Hmm.
I'd love to see it updated.
The one they have now, is old, and probably wasn't accurate when it first opened.
I'd like to see them get all of the country, not just the main provinces.

According to the rest of the e mail I recieved (I didn't post it all to protect the CM I get info from) that was the plan they were just updating some of the areas of the film and re editing it so it wasn't going to be completley new. Even still I am glad they have shelved it and are leaving it as is.

I certainly don't hate the old film (I love the song ), but I was looking forward to some new footage. And hello, please include the Horseshoe Falls in the next one!

I saw the film for the first time in Dec, and I really liked it (except for the gratuitious use of "EH" which made me cringe).

I to don't mind the music just update the movie. Maybe if there putting the money elsewhere. It will be a Tim Hortons lol well we can hope right. Disney is the place that makes your wishes come true.

I think the money went to Spaceship Earth. They are updating it completley with some new animatronichs and touch screen in the ride vehicles so you can choose an ending ALA Horizons. They are doing this update over teh next 10 months so teh attraction will not be closed down completley. I can't wait to see the updates to SE.
