I'm home with a sick kid and for the last three days I've been watching a steady diet of Dora, Wonder Pets, Oobi, Oliva, etc....

I think my brain cells are actually melting :scared1:

What melts your brain?

Super Baby Geniuses 2, Judge Joe Brown, Jerry Springer, the music on some of dh's PS3 games (Madden-I say it is not music. It is yelling)

Oh thank God my kids are not little. I think I am grateful I only escaped with Barney and Teletubbies.

What melts my brain? Just being tired. I am not a night owl so don't try and talk to be about last minute stuff after 9pm. It does not compute.

Possibly. My DD just got sick this morning with a 103.7 temp, so we're going through that now. She just fell asleep to Dora's Chrystal Kingdom movie on NickJr. When her fever breaks, I got to take her to the drug store and get her some more Children's Tylenol. She just used the last dose and we need eggs. They cost more, but I'm only taking a sick kid to one store. Easy in and out. My husband is in Florida on business, so there's no help.

Ackkkkkk!

Hope she feels better soon!

We're on the tail end of this one...croup this time. We've been fever free now for about 18 hours.

Sesame Street, Maury show, those kid shows on Nick.
I think I may be watching them, I went to wake my son up and he is feeling feverish. I don't want to take him to school

When I was on maternity leave, I kept watching TLC. I don't know why. :headache:

the court shows that get the dregs of society on them (judge mathis for example). rock of love, tool academy, any of those dating competition shows on mtv or vh1. when it used to be on the air-jerry springer:sick::sick:

with my kids-chowder:sick:and some of the other gross shows that appeal to preadolescent boys.

Yes, I believe it can. However, it does bounce back eventually to an extent. ;)

My DD was on the couch after surgery last year for 7 weeks -- I do believe I memorized every single Spongebob episode....it was a LONG 7 weeks. 24/7 days of Spongebob except when the tutor was here. She had a hard time getting comfortable to sleep, so she would play episodes on the computer (I had to sleep downstairs near her -- NOT fun...basically I got Spongebob 24/7 & no sleep for 7 weeks).

someone shoot me. please!

Who ever heard of the "boinga" song?

I survived Barney, Teletubbies and the Wiggles.

You too shall survive, but the mental scars will never go away.

My problem is when DD9 is sick, and I'm on duty (split with my wife), she might get bored, fine nothing on (and she's tired of SpongeBob who is on somewhere 24/7), she'll get nostalgic and watch kiddie shows. I didn't mind it when she was 3 or 4, but that penguin, Paz, on Discovery Kids will drive me up a wall.

Aww..I love Paz ..lol. Okay, as much as I love Aladdin, I'm about ready to throw the soundtrack cassette out of my jeep and run over it...repeatedly. I found the cassette at Goodwill, and have yet to find another disney movie cassette for her. Maybe I need to look harder so we could at least alternate annoyances...

I am convinced that many years down the road we will all be in nursing homes in late stages of Alzheimers and if someone says "I love you" we will just start mumbling "You love me, We're a happy family. . ."

Same for if someone says

"Where do we need to go next?"
" Happy Forest, Whispering Lake and Blueberry Hill!"

"Here's your mail"
"Here's the mail it never fails. It makes me want to wag my tail. Maaaaiiiiil!"

And a whole variety of other things that I am sure are so burned into our brains they can never be removed!

Only from Oobi. I think you are safe from Wonder Pets and Dora. :rotfl2:

:confused3 I just don't get Oobi. It's hurts my brain just trying to.

Oh thank GOD! I've convinced him to move to Phineas and Ferb...now that's high quality stuff!
