I don't know for sure, but I would think not, especially for a woman. Usually if a restuarant has a "no hat" policy it's for men. I would just outright tell them it's a medical reason, I'm sure they won't argue with that.

I saw a meeting of the local Red Hat Society at BD last time I ate there. Ladies hats are definitely OK.

Last Christmas I wore a hat to the Brown Derby for both lunch and dinner. It was a fur hat, my head was cold and no one said anything. I didn't get any strange looks or anything. I saw a bunch of guys wearing ball caps, one had a ski cap and some a few adults had on Mickey ears. :earsboy: :earsgirl: I am sure you will be fine! No worries.

As far as I know there are no hat police stationed at the Brown Derby. I am pretty sure I have seen people wearing baseball caps there. While I take my cap off while eating, I don't give it another thought when I see people wearing hats while inside.

My Dad, Brother & DH all wore their baseball caps through dinner when we went in August and no one batted an eye. Don't worry about it.
