Can you walk two reservations at once?

Hi again all

I'm still trying to sort out this Aulani booking! And I've come up with an idea, but wanted your advice as to whether it is even possible and if it is allowed by MS?

As you know I've currently got a standard hotel room booked (all that was available at the 7 month mark). I really would like an ocean view studio for at least part of my stay, but now that I've booked the hotel room, So far I'm being blocked from changing to an ocean view room, as I can't ring until MS opens at 9am and by then the online bookings have taken any availability.

I have enough points to book two nights in the ocean view, and this morning there looks like there will be availability at 8am - although the date is earlier than I need.

I also need to move my hotel room forward a couple of days too!! So..... My question is - can I book two nights in an ocean view online at 8am, then at 9am ring MS to move forward my hotel room?

Will having two bookings in my name cause problems and possibily result in me losing either/both bookings? In a couple of days I will need to move both bookings forward and then cancel the front end of my hotel room booking and add nights to the back end of my ocean view room - is this an amendment too far?!

In my head it all makes perfect sense - but I know that my head often doesn't make sense to anyone else!

If it's not possible then I will just waitlist the ocean view part as suggested by Dean in my previous thread just wondered if my thought process was a valid option or not something I should attempt?!

I realise now that a lot of my current problem is that I panicked when I saw all of the bookings disappearing so quickly - hence my reason for 'jumping' on the hotel room when I could get it, rather than holding out for what I really wanted! - I just never realised getting an Aulani reservation would be so tough!!

Yes.

It shouldn't. If you are worried about it, book the ocean view room in just your traveling companion's name. You can add yourself and anyone else going later.

Doubt it. MS does these type of transactions all the time. Don't see why they's treat yours any differently. Aulani is popular and the CMs understand how much members want to get their reservations. If you only book two nights, call tomorrow and add nights day by day - you don't have to call as soon as MS opens, just anytime during the time MS is open. You do NOT have to wait until the window opens for the 3rd night. If you do, you might not get it.

ha! I think we all do that "in our heads" type of pre-planning at one time or another.

Difficulty of summer reservations surprises me, too. We U.S. mid-Westerners would travel to Hawaii mostly in the winter months when it's so darn cold here!

Hi all (especially Carol!)

I promised to report back - well after ringing member services every day for the last few days, I finally managed to secure my whole reservation!!

I admit to becoming very confused and spending a lot of time deliberating over it (up until this morning I was splitting the stay between the standard view hotel room and an ocean view studio), but I've just rung MS now and swapped the hotel room for extra nights in the ocean view studio - I'm so excited!!
Hopefully I will have made someone else's day too by freeing up the 'cheaper' hotel room!

I am in the process of walking two reservations. There are no problems. Make sure there are different lead persons on the reservations. I originally had my self on both but when I started walking it MS had me change it because she had instances were the system thought it was an error so it would delete one of the rooms.
