Can you walk to Gooding's from SSR?

Yes, It is less than a mile each way and there are sidewalks and a crosswalk at the busy street.

I've not done it, but know of those who have.

Yes, but why?

It's not a bad walk - maybe 3/4 - 1 mile. HOwever, you cannot bring the shopping cart back filled with your stuff and carrying it back maybe heavy or melted. If your only going for a few things, why not just use the General Store?

I may be rethinking the whole Gooding's outing. I have heard it was really expensive, but they have freshly made sushi and that is my downfall!!

If you say it's not that great, I won't bother.

We have walked to Goodings for groceries. While the walk there may be invigorating, the return trip, carrying groceries in both arms on a September afternoon was not a pleasant experience - although it was a one-time experience, never to be repeated.

If you need a lot of food, rent a car for a day/take a cab to Publix or one of the other nearby stores or use one of the delivery services listed above. If you only need a few items, just pick them up at the resort store.

I've done it a few times. I've taken the bus from the BCV to DTD, walked to Goodings, then hiked back to the bus stop. I was solo, so I didn't buy a lot. I packed the frozen items in with the perishables. (I had to get my Super Bowl supplies!)

Super Bowl supplies? Did this include beer? We are only spending 2 days at SSR and then leave for the Disney Cruise and I want to bring along beer. Do they have this at the General Store? I'm sure this has been answered on here before, but I figured I'd just add it to this thread. Thanks!

We just got a great rolling cooler at Sam's for $19.99. I'm bringing this down mostly empty so that I can fill it before boarding the ship, so maybe we will just walk to the store and take this with us.
