Can You walk from the Boardwalk to MGM???

We have stayed in the Boardwalk area twice and we are going back for a third. We know the area pretty well and we know how to get to Epcot by foot, but someone told me you can walk from the Boardwalk area to MGM? Is this true? I thought it was only boats. THANK YOU!

You can walk it. It is a fairly long walk but not unpleasant. We like to either walk it or take one of the boats.

Yes, you can walk (you have not always been able to - the walkway was just completed about two years ago, I believe). The path follows the water on the Boardwalk side and comes out next to the MGM parking lot. I would say it is about a 15 minute walk - a nice walk when the weather isn't too bad.

So true- those boats go slow. We were probably looking at a long wait (about four boatloads) after fantasmic. We decided to walk and were in our room in our jammies before the third boat even left dock!
