Hello I'd appreciate it if you could tell me if I can walk between the two parks and how long it takes?

Thanks

Yes, you can walk. It's around 1.25 miles from Epcot's International Gateway turnstiles to the DHS turnstiles. For most people, that will be 20-30 minutes.

There's also a boat, but the boat isn't really a time saver...just an effort saver.

I agree that the time from park to park walking is around 20-30 minutes, depending on how fast you walk.

If there is a possibility of rain forget the walk and take the Friendship boat. There is a stretch from the DHS turnstiles until the Boardwalk where if it starts raining you have a real problem. It happened to us a number of years ago. By the time we arrived at the DHS we were totally and completely drenched!!!!

The boats travel between the two parks stopping along the way at the Epcot resorts (Swan/Dolphin, Beach/Yacht Clubs, and Boardwalk). The boat takes about the same amount of time but is a break for tired feet.

It is quite a distance especially after walking in the parks all day long but it can be a beautiful and enjoyable walk.

Personally, we always "wimp" out and take the boat as the walking in the park is usually enough of walking for us. We don't need to increase our mileage unnecessarily. :)

That's excellent news, I didn't know about the boat option. I'm trying to work out which parks we could perhaps combine on one day and it seems Epcot - DHS (boat/walk) and Epcot - MK (monorail) will both work well. I'm really pleased about this as the food options at Epcot look great!
Thanks for your help :)

I have said on my last two trips that Epcot is the reason for park hoppers. My last trip we were in Epcot most days at some point. Most of the time for dinner!

We stayed at the BWV last month and walked to both parks frequently. We were in an end unit, first floor past the clown pool towards Jellyrolls. It was a 10 minute walk to both for us. A good thing to do is take the boat from DHS and get off at the Swan Dolphin and walk to Epcot. If going from Epcot to DHS take the boat to the Boardwalk and then get off. Those both are first boat stops as loading and unloading is what takes so much time with the boats. Taking the boat and getting off cuts the walk in about half, but saves time.

The water taxi takes fffffffffffoooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeerrr.
Walk and avoid it at all costs. I'm just sayin.

Walking it is fine but if it's 90 degrees out the walk will wear you out,so if it's hot or rainy weather the boat is a good option. If you walk remember to cut through the hallway with the bathrooms next to Wyland gallery that leads to the Luna park pool in the Boardwalk. The walkway to DHS will be behind the pool area.If you're in the Future World area of Epcot you would better off grabbing the bus to DHS,if you're in WS then exit the International Gateway and choose walk or boat,if you see the boat loading then go ahead and geton it.

Great, thanks for the information, we like to walk so weather permitting this seems like a good option. We have an ADR at Shula's one night so a boat from the Dolphin / Swan will be good when we're full of steak!! :)
