Can you use TS credits at CS?

Can you choose to use a TS credit at a CS location? Not sure we would want to use all the TS credits at TS restaurants (I realize that would be Disney gaining on this!). I just don't want to spend all the time at a TS restaurant.

In the parks, I've heard the answer is no. At the resort food court you may have more luck.

Your resort desk can also swap credits for you, on a 1-to-1 conversion basis. Then you'll have the CS credits on your card to use.

If you do not want to go to TS restaurants at all, why not consider the quick service dining plan?

Even if you want only one TS restaurant it may still be more cost effective to buy the quick service plan and just pay for the TS restaurant you want.

If we do 2 TS (Teppen Edo and Akersus), it is only about $32 more total for us (DD4 and I) to do the regular DDP. I would probably do a couple more TS, but we are staying 10 days and that is a lot of TS!

I see, you want the option to do TS but you want mostly CS.

As noted above, you may have trouble trading TS for CS in the parks - the easiest time with that is usually had at resort CS. Or you can ask your resort concierge to convert your TS credits to CS credits. Although I have heard of people sometimes asking to do this and being told "no."

But the DxDP brochure specifically states Quick Service Meals count as 1 credit, and it says you get entree, dessert, drink for lunch/dinner and entree, drink for breakfast.

They then list all the "Q" locations where the DP is accepted and it includes all the parks. :confused3

That's the Deluxe plan. On the Deluxe plan, the credits are interchangeable; they can be used for either CS or TS. On the regular dining plan, they are not interchangeable. You may be able to trade the TS credits on the regular plan down, but you may not, as there is no rule saying you can do so. The OP is considering the regular plan. There isn't any way to tell the OP that she will be able to walk into any CS restaurant on property and use a TS credit on the regular plan, because the restaurant may or may not allow it.

awesome, thx for the clarification...and thx for your fast answer in the other thread on dining show ressies! :thumbsup2

I also had this question and emailed Disney. I was told that yes you can use table service credits at any quick service location. I still have the email if you'd like me to forward it to you.

My experience:
When were at POR in August 2010, one day mid trip my daughter didn't feel well so she missed out on a wonderful lunch at Le Cellar.(don't worry we're not delinquent, she was 18) On the last day of the trip we had that TS left over. When I asked at the front desk- they said I could use the TS as a CS in the POR food court. I did with no problems. Maybe because it was the last day of our trip or maybe they would allow it always?????

I had this exact question today. My DH and DS18 arriving later then me and my DS10. They will be missing a TS that night so we will have 2 extra TS. Good to know we can get a CS instead.
