Can I buy 2 sets of tickets and use them on the same day. I want to double up on my fast passes. If so when I get to the gate would I just tell them to turn the turnstile after they scan one and then enter after they scan the other?

Ha I honestly have no idea what they would say. It's certainly unorthodox and I am pretty certain you can't but I don't know if it's ever been tried. Are you sure that a couple extra FP's are worth $100 or more even if they did permit this??? Remember you'll still have to follow the same regulations and waiting periods with the second set.

ETA: reading Dreams' post, yes, that method might work. I don't think they'd let you use them right after each other but you could leave the park and come back. Of course they may notice that you have a handstamp but that your ticket hasn't yet been activated for the day...

I can't possibly imagine a few FPs being worth the money, but...

Enter with a ticket. Leave and get a handstamp.

Re-enter with second ticket.

Well, there would be technically noting wrong with this and seems like an expensive way to get some fast passes, but I sure would not try and enter with both tickets at the same time...enter with one, take a lap around the train station, exit the park, then re-enter with pass #2...if they see ya enter, exit, and enter...you gonna have some explaining to do.

Those thickets would not be goof then for anyone else to use for entry for that day!

Wow, I wish I had the kind of disposable income you have. Instead of wasting a ticket, maybe you could invite someone to come with you who doesn't like rides. You could use their pass to get a fastpass while they go see Aladin. Or find someone with a 3 year old - they're old enough to need a ticket but too short to go on most of the fastpass rides. :rotfl2:

Why would you need a handstamp? It's not like the 2nd ticket will say Re-entry.

Are you using your ticket, and the remaining days on someone else's multi-day park hopper? If that's the case, you better look like the person.

I don't think the OP has large amounts of disposable income. I just think he was given a park hopper from some one else with unused days that will expire within 13 days of first use.

However, if he really is buying new tickets just for more fast passes, then yes, I wish I had that kind of disposable income too.

Only if it's a brand new ticket. You can't transfer previously used multi-day tickets.

Hmmm... I didn't get that at all. I read "Can I buy 2 sets of tickets and use them on the same day." to mean the person is going to buy two sets of tickets.

I think if someone has an unused day on a ticket and you try to enter without them you're going to run into problems now that they are taking photos.

For later in the day if/when park hopping.

P.S. I am in agreement that what would make a LOT more sense would be to invite someone along who just agrees to let you use all of their Fps.

P.P.S. If indeed your plan is to actually use someone else's ticket, DLR takes photos of you now when you enter the Park and links it to your ticket. You cannot use a ticket someone else has used. Just FYI.

The way I'm reading it, the OP isn't trying to employ any kind of subterfuge. I'm seeing being upfront about having two tickets (not used by someone else) purchased and simply asking the CM at the turnstile to activate both of them in the same name.

It's a bit unorthodox. I don't even know if it necessarily violates Disney's policies. However, this is possibly something that would be unusual and where a CM is likely to call for a supervisor to sort things out.

Personally I don't like the idea of doing it. I give the OP props for original thinking, but personally it sounds to me to be an abuse of the system. The FP system is supposed to be fair, and doubling up would seem to me to be unfair. In addition to that, it introduces an additional guest into the system when physically there is none. Enough extra "guests" and it could lead to the park being closed down sooner to new or returning guests on a crowded day.

I've often thought about OP's question myself. I haven't seriously considered it, but it would be interesting to have the answer to the original question. It seems to me if you pay for two tickets, you should be able to get the perks from both, but it's Disney's show, so I'd like to know what their official position is.

Hi its me. Yes I am thinking of getting 2 sets of 5 day passes, one for my daughter and I.

Were going this summer and want to cut our line waiting and walking down as much as possible. So basically trying to do twice as much in a shorter amount of time or the same amount done in half of the time by either getting the same fastpass for a quick reride or getting one for a ride nearby.

I was thinking of inviting someone off the street or an ad but then they would have to go in with me all 5 days and then we would have to keep up with each other to exchange tickets when we leave. Still lots of time so I haven't ruled that out, but that would take some extra trust and planning.

(Don't have alot disposable income just that the trip is just for Disneyland. I was going to add Six Flags and Raging Waters which equals extra walking and line waiting but just Disney now and maybe the beach for free.)

I guess no one has done this, lol.

Edit: I didn't know if the computers saw the same id go thru twice(if photos so maybe not an issue) it would flag or deny entry???
Also don't want to waste time entering and leaving unless its a quick trip in and out but with baggage check and going at open it doesn't sound like it so that would minimize the purpose.

I'm thinking Disney would not like guests doing this. Are you sure the extra rides are worth the extra money and hassles. You still have the same amount of time in the park. There is so much more to do than the FP rides. The second set of tickets give you a whole other vacation.

I am not from the area so the cost of flying and staying is much higher, plus this is kinda the last disney trip for awhile since my daughter will be entering middle school in a couple of years so we will just do USO-Florida.

Disney would be getting the same money and less foot traffic, I would be leaving the park sooner each day.

*** Also I failed to mention I would only do this on 3 of the days so I would stretch the trip into a 7-day pass ***

I suggest using the $ you would spend on extra tickets towards a VIP tour one day during your visit. That way you get to spend hours walking on whatever ride you wish to go on. You will already be in the parks for 5 days. Spending the $ for tickets just for an extra set of FP's seems excessive. How old is your daughter? You may be able to use the single rider line on some of popular rides.

I would contact Mouse Expeditions. He gives his own version of the VIP tour. He will collect FP's for you, and hold places for fireworks and parades. You may be able to use his FP's that would be collected on his ticket. You can do a search on here about his service. Many people have used him and been happy.

I appreciate the suggestions to do something different, but basically it sounds like I WILL be allowed to do this? Maybe just explain to the CM at the front gate?

It is questionable if you will be able to do this. They may not activate two tickets for one guest.
However, Disney Dreams suggested you can enter with one ticket and then turn around and enter with the other. That is a good alternative plan in the event that you are not able to activate both tickets at the turnstiles.
