Alligators in the water? I have never heard of that at the resorts. My daughters are supposed to do the pirate cruise, but if there is a possibility that they may come in contact with an alligator and me not being there, then i may have to cancel.
When we booked the pirate cruise we were told that it leaves from the Grand Floridian. I know there is a new one that leave fromt he CBR, but ours was booked to leave from GF.
In FL, if there is any body of water larger than a puddle, there is a good chance an alligator will be in it :teeth: . But, your kids will be safe on the Pirate Cruise- they are in a good size pontoon boat, and they never get close to the water- they dock at the marinas of different resorts, and search for the treasure map clues on land. The ladies who run the cruise are really vigilant about safety.

Don't worry about the Pirate Cruise- your little ones are gator-safe!! :sunny:

Thanks. That puts me at ease a bit. I can't imagine that Disney have any potential danger for it's guests. I am very fearful of alligators, especially if i will not be with them during the Pirate Cruise.

It's true.
I'm sure it's true, but where would they go ..what would the "pirate ship" be, and what Island will they stop at? I can't see that that would be much fun at Carribean Beach Resort. Has anyone's kids done this version of the pirate cruise??

They've really changed this since my 30 year old son went on the Pirates cruise. They went out to an island, not another resoret, and had a treasure hunt.
