Can you use extra TS credits for QS?

Family is going in a few weeks with free dining. Grandparents with son and his family. Grandparents are going for a night out at a 2 credit TS, and the next night their son and his wife are going out for a 2 credit TS meal. Can they trade their kids' TS (they will have 4) credits for QS meals to feed the kids on those nights?
