Hi all. New to this board but not to the DIS. I searched a few phrases and couldn't find an answer, so my apologies if I somehow missed it.

My stepdad's birthday is tomorrow and they're going to be in the parks. If I send him an electronic gift card, can he use it on-site?

Someone posted in another thread the other day about it (not sure what thread) and they said you can use electronic GC's in the park. I think there is some sort of code they can scan or something. I also believe you can use the Disney GC site and put the electronic GC on a physical GC if you want to go that route. Of course you need a physical GC to do it so if they have one with them they should be able to do it.

Yes you can. In fact, pre-covid when some resorts were offering $ incentive for skipping housekeeping, that reward was given as an e-gift card.

Yes you can use the barcode or you can transfer it to an existing gift card or giftcard balance you already have. Disneygiftcard.com
