Can you use a TS credit for a CS meal?

We like a lot of the cs meal I was just wondering if we could do this. We have some character meals planned so it wouldnt want to go down to quick service dining!

Sometimes you can do this but not always.

Usually when free dining is happening they allow this, as many people don't get their adrs in time and things are booked. So they loosen the rules a bit. But it isn't always the case.

If free dining isn't going on I wouldn't count on it.

I have read here on the DIS that if you have the DxDP the meal credits are interchangable as either TS or CS. Not sure about the DDP since they are specific TS and CS credits.

On the regular plan...MAYBE....They generally only allow it for the free dining period and even then you need to check with the resort guest services to see if you can.They have done for things just being overbooked too,not generally not because you just want to or feel like it, in any event it is not something you can count on, but you can check with your resort .

Right, as with the deluxe plan the credits are a bit different. They are for either TS or CS. The DDP (reg) plan is a bit different you have specific credits that are used.

We've done this multiple times without a problem. We always have the regular dining plan and we've always gone during the time off season when free dining is out. We've also only tried to do this at our resort (Contempo. cafe, Pop food court and ASMo food court.) We've also always been able to exchange 1 CS for 3 snacks. We've done thins multiple times in Sept. 2010, 09, and 08.

People have reported far more success with this at the resort restaurants than in the parks.
