Can you use a Disney Gift Card....

to pay off room charges at any DVC resort? Do most WDW restaurants take this card?

You may use:

1) disney rewards card (from the CC)

2) disney gift card

3) disney $

at most "participating" sites (which i'm told is most TS restaurants, tix purchases & most shops) and they may be applied to charging privledges on room account and to settle final bill

They will not accept the "gift certificates" that are sold on disneyshopping web site nor the cards @ the stores/branded children's place.

I don't know where the thread is but I remember reading awhile back that a lady gave her DD a big GC as a wedding gift for them to use on their honeymoon to pay off the room charges and they were not able to use it. I'll see if I can find the thread. I would call MS and ask though.

Just an FYI -that thread dates back to October of last year. At that time the computer systems were not on line to be able to be accepted in some locations. Since then, all resort front desk systems have been updated to as to accept them.

Confirmed with DVC and the resort today! I am going soon and just wanted a little piece of mind myself. The CM at the resort said they have been getting loads of them! She said "they seem very popular. I may have to ask for them for Christmas!"

we couldn't use them for our last trip (far too long ago lol) over Columbus Day weekend & following week @ DVC either; but as stated above - they worked for DS 2nd week of January this year.

i've been buying a card each month since January & figure I'll have our DP paid for @ the very least
