Can I use my 40% off PIN code (or Disney's 40% resort only deal) AND get free dining?

I assumed I couldn't but I thought I better ask just in case I'm losing out on a missed savings!

Or you can do a split stay - we are getting free dining the first week of our stay at POP, then using the 40% discount at Poly our second week. :thumbsup2

Can you book two rooms with two different discounts--one with free dining and one with the room-only discount--but for the same dates??

I think you could, but only the guests attached to the "free" dining reservation, which would be a max of 4 in a value room and between 4-5 in the mods and deluxes would be able to get the meal entitlements. The people in your party attached to the other room would not be entitled to any meals. And I do not believe you would be able to assign a person to multiple rooms. Ex: if you are a party of 4 people, but want two rooms, you couldn't assign everyone to the free dining room and leave the room-only room "empty". You would have to assign at least one of your party of four to that room, and then they wouldn't get the dining. You also can't assign someone to two rooms.

Thanks for your input--I was afraid that would be the answer.

I have notice a thread where you can on southwest travel(not for plane reservations but for vacations) and they were offering discounted disney rooms with discounted tickets and free dining. I was playing with dates at end on August/beginning of September. I could get a standard room at AKL with tickets and dining for around $2800(7 nights). You were also able to add magicial express and 2 free checked bags if you booked airfare also. WE just went in May so no way DH will let us go again....

You are right. I tried to do this but unless we have another person in the extra room, you can't. We have a 1 year old and I wanted an ajoining room for her to take naps and we still have the extra space to watch TV, make noise and extra bathroom. No dice. :sad1:

We can split the ground but then we are paying full price for both rooms for free dining. Not worth it.

I am thinking about the plan where you want two connecting rooms and trying to get free dining with one room and then just a room discount with the other for extra space. How could this be done? Could I say my family of 4 (2 adults 2 children) are in the free dining room and my mother in law is in the room only? Then when we get there at the last minute my mother in law couldn't come but we still want the room since we can't get our money back on the deposit?

I know this seems a little unethical. When my kids are older I wouldn't do this. For now though I really want it all! I've paid full price, no discount vacations to Disney way too many times in the past. I want to even it up a little bit...

Would this have to be done with 2 separate reservations?
