Can you use 2 separate/individual park tickets

to go to 2 different parks the same day? We will be there for 6 nights/5 days next December. Buying 7 day regular MYW tickets (no hopping) and having 2 extra tickets is cheaper than buying 5 day PH ($935.08 vs $1058.62). Can I use one ticket to go to AK and then use a 2nd (new) ticket that night to go to MGM? There are only 2 days that we would possibly park hop. Or will I have to get PH? Hope I explained that ok.

Yes, you can absolutely use 2 different non-PH tickets to do 2 parks in the same day. The biometrics check to see if the same person is using a given ticket, not if a given person is using different tickets.

Similar to what we did - we had AP's and PH without plusses and used old plusses to go to water parks.

Just to be clear, you can't use two days of a 7-day non-hopping ticket to visit two parks on the same day. But if you had, say a 5-day ticked and a separate 3-day ticket, you could use one day off each on the same day.
