can you upgrade tickets?

I am unsure whether will go to US/IOA for 3 days or 4 days. If I buy a 3-day pass and then decide I want a 4th day, can I convert the 3-day to a 4-day ticket? Would I just pay the difference, or would it cost more than if I had bought the 4-day in the first place?

Same if convert from single park to park-to-park after purchasing - does it cost more than buying park-to-park to begin with?

Yes...you can upgrade your tickets at either park.

if you have a 3 day ticket, upgrade it to a 4 day ticket before you leave the park on that 3rd day.


you can upgrade that 3 day ticket on the first day if you wish.

Does the upgrade cost the difference between the original two prices? Or is there some penalty for not having bought the 4-day or the park-to-park originally?

Just to throw in another question about upgrading tickets - if my parents bought us 1 day/2 park tickets for Universal and Island of Adventure through AAA, can I still go up to the ticket booth at Universal and upgrade to a 2 day/2 park ticket or do I have to have them go back to AAA to do the upgrade?

You would upgrade the at parks.
